I am passionate about animals - both domestic and wild. While I have most experience caring for dogs and cats, I also have experience caring other mammals, reptiles, birds. When I am not caring for house pets, I am most likely at the National Zoo; where I am an active volunteer.
My Background - I have a Masters of Science in environmental education and have worked as a project outreach coordinator for non-profit and environmental endeavors; including National Geographic Society and Bonobo Conservation Initiative. I have always been surrounded by animals and am pursuing a graduate degree in counseling, in the hopes of providing pet therapy to those with rehabilitative needs.
- I grew up with Rocky, (a beloved Schnauzer with an under-bite) and Holana (a quirky cat with sinus problems).
- As an adult, I have been the proud owner of Digger (the "supposed mini" Beagle turned Clifford) and I currently reside with the Elliott (a beagle/yorkie pup), my handsome 15 pound cat - Kea and my somewhat reclusive cat, Squirt (a beautiful, female tuxedo).
